Each patient receives attentive, one-on-one care grounded in current evidence and coordinated with referring physicians when appropriate.
Kate Saley
MA, OTR/L, CHT
Undergraduate: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Graduate: University of Southern California
Kate is a Certified Hand Therapist with extensive experience in postoperative rehabilitation, custom orthosis fabrication, wound care, and complex traumatic injuries. She works closely with hand surgeons to provide thoughtful, protocol-driven care tailored to each patient’s recovery. A Santa Barbara native, Kate is proud to serve the community where she was raised and is now raising her own family. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, Pilates, group fitness classes, and sharing good food with family and friends.
Heather Van Buren
MA, OTR/L, CHT
Undergraduate: University of California, San Diego Graduate: University of Southern California
Heather is a Certified Hand Therapist with specialized experience treating complex fractures, tendon and nerve repairs, postoperative conditions, and other upper-extremity injuries. She also provides custom orthosis fabrication to protect healing structures while helping patients restore movement, strength, and function. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Heather enjoys Pilates, running, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
Rekha Best
MS, OTR/L, CHT
Undergraduate: University of California, Santa Barbara Graduate: Tufts University
Rekha is a Certified Hand Therapist with extensive experience treating orthopedic and traumatic upper-extremity conditions, including fractures, tendon and nerve repairs, sports injuries, postoperative conditions, burns, wounds, scars, and arthritis. Her clinical background also includes static and dynamic orthosis fabrication, ergonomic assessment, sensory rehabilitation, and treatment of elbow and shoulder conditions. Rekha emphasizes individualized care and close collaboration with referring physicians and other medical professionals.
